As women continue to experience the devastating impact of unemployment due to COVID-19, representing 58.8% of all lost jobs in March, the foodservice, hospitality, retail and travel industries have been some of the hardest hit. Further delivering on its mission of empowering women, at a time when many are forced to reimagine their lives, Bay Path University is offering a free three-credit online undergraduate college course. The course, Fundamentals of Digital Literacy, will help women expand their digital technology skill set and be better prepared for the workforce of the future. The course is offered through The American Women's College, Bay Path University’s fully online division designed to fit busy women’s lives.

In a recent article published on The Hill, Sweet Briar College President, Meredith Woo, talks about how women’s colleges prioritize women’s leadership in their curriculums.

According to President Woo, women’s liberal arts colleges work and provide a strong return on investment by preparing “their students in ways that co-ed institutions have been unable to. For example, graduates from women’s colleges report their college was extremely or very effective in helping prepare them for their first job compared to those who went to public institutions (81 percent to 61 percent). Students from women’s colleges are almost twice as likely to complete a graduate degree as a public university alumna. All of these outcomes help women achieve in the business world”, argues Woo.

In a recent article published on University Business, Cedar Crest College President, Dr. Elizabeth Meade discusses the power of women’s colleges and how they are constantly evolving to meet the developing needs of women and society.
