Dr. Lynn Perry Wooten has been unanimously selected to serve as Simmons University’s ninth president, effective July 1, 2020. Dr. Wooten will succeed Helen G. Drinan, who ends her term in June after serving as Simmons’ president for the past 12 years. Simmons University offers the only undergraduate program for women in Boston and numerous nationally recognized graduate programs open to all.
The Board of Trustees at Saint Mary’s College is pleased to announce that Dr. Katie Conboy has been selected as the 14th president of the 176 year-old Catholic women’s liberal arts college.
Hollins University has announced that Mary Dana Hinton, Ph.D., president of the College of Saint Benedict (Saint Ben’s) in St. Joseph, Minnesota, will become the school’s next president. She officially takes office on August 1.
