Trinity Washington University Celebrates Colloquium on Inclusive Excellence for Academic Success for Young Women of Color
With the support of a generous grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), Trinity Washington University has created a model that promotes academic success for young women of color by training faculty to adopt the pedagogy of inclusive excellence in their coursework and research projects. Initiated through the science disciplines at Trinity, the practice of inclusive excellence is now engaging faculty across the university. A number of other colleges and universities also participate in the HHMI program and this colloquium will include representatives from some of these institutions to share best practices in development of curricula and pedagogy for students of color. This colloquium takes place as part of Spring Research Day at Trinity during which students, faculty and staff present their research projects and discuss their research experiences.
Trinity welcomes K-12 educators, college and university faculty and administrators, foundation and nonprofit leaders, and individuals interested in advancing inclusive excellence. Please register to attend.
